Variable products not adding to cart

I see how this could be frustrating for you and your customers. I checked your site and tried adding a variable product from this link: https://bio-jewellery.com/product/macrame-barrel-knot-necklace-with-matching-earrings/.

I noticed that it keeps redirecting back to the page with an error saying, Please choose product options by visiting 'Macrame Barrel Knot Necklace with Matching Earrings. Is this the issue you were referring to about not being able to add a variable product?

First let’s try troubleshooting some common issues with variable products. Could you double-check that all variations have a price assigned as this is a common oversight. Also, ensure they are not set as ‘Out of stock’. Do also check the your themes or plugins if they are updated.

If the issue persists, we may need to look into your site’s build further by reviewing your System Status Report. You can find it by going to WooCommerce → Status, then selecting “Get system report” and clicking “Copy for Support.”

Thank you for providing the System Status Report. Based on what I see, the first step I’d recommend is to examine the interaction of WooCommerce Currency Switcher with variable products.

Disable this plugin temporarily and see if the issue with adding variable products to the cart is resolved. If this solves the problem, you may need to adjust its settings or reach out to their support for a more compatible configuration with variable products.

Aside from the currency switcher, these two can also potentially affect variable products indirectly through JavaScript optimization, session management, or interface customization:

• Autoptimize: Can optimize your site’s scripts and styles and may sometimes cause issues if JavaScript required for variable product functionality is inadvertently altered.
• StoreCustomizer: Customizes WooCommerce store and product pages and could potentially affect the display and functionality of variable products.

You can try temporarily deactivating them as well to check if they’re what’s causing the issue. Do make sure to secure a backup of your site or use a staging site to test these changes if possible. Also, remember to clear your cache after disabling the plugin so that you can test with a clean state.

Thanks for the instructions above, I found it was the Autopmize plugin that was causing the problem. I’ve deactivated and deleted and all working perfectly now.

In case you ever want to have Autoptimize working without it interfering with variable products in the cart, First and foremost try to identify what is breaking things by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). The problem is likely due to JavaScript optimization, which we should be able to fix with some reconfiguration ??
