Variable products display as simple products

    Hi, I have an issue with woocommerce and currently looking to find a solution.
    I have some variable products and (probably) after the last update of WP and WC I noticed that on home page but also on the shop archive pages most variable products display as simple products.
    For example, a product that is on sale but on home or other shop category page there is no “on Sale” badge, the price displayed is the discounted price only – no regular price displayed but the most serious is that the “add to cart” button appears instead of “Select options”.
    That means that if a user clicks on “Add to cart” from any product archive page the product gets added without a variable option selected (ex. shoe size).
    For example in this page
    all the shoes are variable products but only some display the “on sale” badge and “Select options”. The rest of the shoes display as simple products.

    When I edit the products, they are indeed variable products, I can see the product variations, edit them and save changes, and update product but nothing changes.

    Hi there,

    I understand there’s an issue with variable products turning into simple products, and when you edited the variations, the changes don’t seem to be saved.

    I’m not able to replicate this issue on my end with the latest WooCommerce/ WordPress versions. I’d recommend testing for a conflict to see if a plugin or your theme is causing the conflict. Here’s the instructions below:

    Thanks for getting back to us.

    I understand that some products don’t display variations or sale badges on the product category page, other products are displayed as simple products.

    It looks like the issue is coming from the Dox theme you are using on the website.

    Can you please try to switch to the default theme, like Storefront? and see if it resolves the issue.
