    Hi

Is there any option to only sync standard products and exclude variable products?

    Thanks

  • Hello,

May I ask, how many products would you like to sync? If they are a few, you can change the channel visibility on the product feed, those products tagged as Sync and Show will be visible to Google. More info is below:

    Hi

Yes there are 4000 products and I wanted to exclude about 400 variable products.

I do like this plug in it was very easy to set up but it seems rather limited by configuration options as to what you want and not want to be sync and show other than editing one product at a time unless you want to mess about exporting to csv editing and re importing, which I tried and failed!

I think I probably need to purchase the woocommerce google product feed plugin as it seems to be much more configurable.

Thanks for your help though and fast responses

    Hi,

I understand what you are saying.

CSV import is a good work-around, you can export your products into a CSV file, when opening the file using a spreadsheet edit you can select the variable products by the Type column (The type could be simple, variable, or virtual).

    You can follow these steps:

    1) Go to Products > Export > Select “Yes, export all custom meta”, see screenshot: https://snipboard.io/2R8yh9.jpg
    2) Click Export to export your products to a CSV
    3) Edit the CSV file and look for the Meta: _wc_gla_visibility?column.
    4) Change the value from?dont-sync-and-show?to?sync-and-show on the products you would like to change.
    5) Save/Export the file/spreadsheet as a CSV
    6) Import the CSV “updating exiting products”:?See screenshot https://snipboard.io/fGXKZH.jpg

More information to import/export products is on our documentation below:?https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/

    Hi Igor

OK I have given it a go. I exported 800 variable products and included SKU and meta. I changed the sync-and-show in the products to be dont-sync-and-show in the csv file but when I import it again it skips all the products because of duplicated SKU.

I selected map SKU so not sure why it would do this.

    Hi,

A possible reason is that there are (maybe) orphaned variations. From your dashboard, you can navigate to Woocommerce > Status > Tools and click on Delete orphaned variations. Then you can try again, be sure to back up the site before making any change.

Let us know how that goes.

Nope, still reports the same, it skips all the products because of duplicated SKU. Not to worry, I am going to delete the products I do not want in google merchant then deactivate the plugin for a while so it does not update the feed.

Thanks for your help though, shame the product feed page does not have some sort of filtering options. The option of editing 10 products that are sorted in alphabetical order in one go is fine if you have 20 or 30 products but if you have ‘000s it is of no help at all. Even if that could be upped to say 100 from 10 it would help but ideally it would filter by category. Maybe you could look into adding that in a future release?

    Thanks again

    We totally understand your concern.
