Variable product reverting to simple product

  • Okay, the other day my site was working perfectly. Now this morning I found that all of my ‘variable’ products have reverted to ‘simple’ products.

    I have tried updating them, and even tried creating a new variable product… same problem, they ALL revert to ‘simple’ product after updating.

    I updated to the latest version of woocommerce hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn’t.

    Anyone know how to fix this?

    You need to establish if one of your plugins or theme is removing the ‘variable’ type or preventing save. WC has no mechanism to change product types by itself.

    Okay, I haven’t changed anything regarding themes or plugins… it was fine a few days ago…

    Can you elaborate a bit on as to where I am supposed to look for such a thing? I didn’t change themes, nor add new plugins.

    Disable plugins. test again.
    Switch to default theme. test again.
    Working? Enable the above until the issue occurs.
