Variable Product Price not showing correct;u

    I have a product with multiple options which creates over 1500 variations. All are $525 except for those with a white fleece liner which is $50 extra so the price should be $575.

    The variable price is correctly set up but it’s not showing as you can see from these screenshots.

    I disabled Cloudflare on the site but still got wrong price.

    I tested for themes and plugins as outlined on this page:

    I tried the default Twenty Twenty-Three theme but still got wrong price.

    I disabled all but WooCommerce related plugins but still got wrong price.

    At this point, I am totally clueless why the $575.00 is not showing.

    I understand that the product price for one of the variations for your variable product is not showing as expected on the front-end based on this screenshot. Furthermore, even after performing the full conflict test, the issue still persists, correct?

    I checked this product and was able to confirm the issue same with this screenshot.

    Can you please try the following steps below and see if this resolves the issue?

    • Clear all transients under WooCommerce > Status > Tools
    • Have your host purge the site cache

    Furthermore, for us to investigate your issue further, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Yes, I had already done a full conflict test with disabling all but WooCommerce plugins and using the Twenty-Twenty Three default theme. No change.

    I cleared all transients and I purged the site cache, which incidentally was empty. I checked the WooCommerce Status Logs and there were no fatal error logs, only 2 types, wc-image-regeneration that was before this issue and woocommerce-paypal-payments which can’t be the issue as payments come after the shopping cart has been populated.

    Honestly, this is simply dumbfounding.

    Can you please try to clone your site to a staging environment and see if this resolves the issue? I would like to isolate that this issue is not host-related.

    I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

    This is a large, live website doing orders constantly during the day. I feel a bit uneasy trying to use WP Staging or any other migration tool to create a staging site, then find/fix this issue, then migrate back to the live site.

    I could simply create a clone via cPanel backup/restore to a different domain. This would allow me to test this on a completely different service other than HostGator, although I don’t think the hosting environment is the issue. But if it is, then I could get with HostGator techs to see if they can ascertain why this is not working on their hosting services.

    Do you think this sounds like a credible way to eliminate the hosting environment?

    In reading the link, I installed WP Max Submit Protect and it now shows the correct price for the 6 different variables. What does this tell you?

    If I am understanding correctly, after installing the plugin WP Max Submit Protect, it is now showing correct prices for the 6 different variables.

    I understand the original product has over 1500 variations. It looks it is not a common scenario, considering that many customers like to decide fast, I mean to receive a few options and to get what they want to buy.

    There is no fixed maximum number of variations for a product in WooCommerce. However, the practical limit is usually determined by your server resources and configuration. I’d suggest increasing the memory limit to see if that helps.

    Moreover, you may face issues with creating or updating products with a high number of variations due to server limitations or timeout issues. Many users report handling 50-100 variations per product without significant issues, while some have managed to use up to several hundred variations. Beyond that, you may need to optimize your server and WooCommerce settings or consider an alternative product or inventory management approach.

    One I followed your suggestions to determine the issue and doing a bit of research, I edited the PHP.INI file in the wp-admin directory to add “max_input_vars = 3000”. I disabled the WP Max Submit Protect plugin, tested and that fixed the issue.
