    Hi there,

I am a bit struggling with grouped, bundled and variantions…

Although my problem is very simple, i have not really an idea what to do next:

I am making 1 main product that has 2 variantions: A and B
but for this main product you are able to buy an extra filter but it is an option, there is also a possibility to buy this filter seperate, meaning it is a seperate product too.

The goal is to keep everything as simple as possible.

eg: 1 main product (air purificator) with variations Filter:A and Filter:B, client HAS to choose but optional an extra filter: C which is not required.

Also: Filter A B and C can be bought seperatly too.

    What is the best practice?

    Thank you for any tips.

    Roger

    Hey there,

    Thanks for explaining!

I understand that you have a variation for Filter A and Filter B, and would like to offer the option to additionally purchase Filter C.

If you don’t need to track the stock of filter C, the nicest looking solution would be the WooCommerce Product Add-ons plugin:
    https://woocommerce.com/products/product-add-ons/

You’d keep the two variations, and then add Filter C as an optional add-on.

If you do need to track stock of Filter C, then I’d recommend Product Bundles instead, which would let you create all three products and bundle them so that customers can make their choices:
    https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/

You could do this with the built in groups functionality, but Product Add-ons and Product Bundles will look neater and allow more options.
