    Good morning,

I’ve noticed that in the emails that are sent to my team after a form is submitted, the variables have stopped being displayed correctly.

For example, in one of my form I have a dropdown menu with the names of our representatives (ex. Mary, Kate, etc.), but I chose to display the initials only for the email that is sent afterwards. When I created the form, there was the field for the entry (“Mary”) and then a field underneath for the display (“M”). It doesn’t seem to be working anymore, as the email now shows the first name in full. I checked the settings of my form and they are still the same today, except it doesn’t work anymore and it doesn’t seem to take into consideration what should be displayed, only what shows in the form.

I have plenty of fields that work the same way, and they all stopped working suddenly.

Can someone please help with this?
Please feel free to ask more questions, it was hard to explain so feel free to reach out if you need more clarification ??

    Thank you!

Just to clarify, this is what I’m talking about: https://i.imgur.com/reMfOJx.png

The form online should show “Mary”, and in the email it should show “[M]” but unfortunately now the email also shows “Mary” and not “[M]”.

    Thank you!

    Hi @wireofhope,

We had a lot of reports over time to show Label in emails instead of the Value, so this was changed in recent release and is why is now including Label in emails.

We’re already working on expanding this further in next release and allow choosing whether you want to show Value or Label.

    Cheers,
    Predrag
