Values order – Alpha – diacritics support?

    Hello.
    I noticed that when choosing Values order – Alpha, it doesn’t work with diacritics.
    In the Czech alphabet we have a,b,c,?,?,e,f,g,h …
    Now the sorting works in a way, that attributes starting with ?, ?, etc. are always at the last position.
    Is there any chance to add support for these?

    Hi,

    I’ll create a task for our developer to check this issue. Most likely some mb function should be used there. But first need to check if can use it there and check what results we will get replacing current one.

    Thanks, it’s working!
    Just a little thing – the order of letters is always like this a,b,c,?,d,?.
    The letter with a “sign” is always after the normal one.
    I noticed that for example order of values starting with “s” and “?” is ?,s. Others seem correct.

    Hi,

    Our developer did check it. We are sorting it with MySQL. PHP don’t have such functionality for multibyte. And MySQL is sorting as it can. I suppose you need to contact with this issue MySQL developers or whatever database server you are using.

    BUT there is an option or better to say walkaround. You can use custom sorting for the attribute values and using drag&drop set correct order. Our plugin is supporting it. With it you will have any sorting order you want.

    Hi.
    Thanks for the clarification. It’s not a big problem at all. I just thought that there was some little mistake.
