Value FROM field blocks sending

  • Strangest things are happening lately. I noticed that at some point in time emails were no longer delivered at my inbox [email protected]. They were however delivered at the cc-address [email protected].

    What I discovered today through trial and error is that the email address provided in the FROM field is the cause of the problem. Here I always had [email protected] (the same as the TO value) and it has been working since forever. Now it will only work (that is deliver emails at [email protected]) if I change the FROM value to: [email protected]

    What’s up with this? Is this al of a sudden a flaw in CF7?

    Many hosting providers haven been tightening email sending rules for years to tackle email form spam. It’s probably more amazing that you haven’t seen this issue earlier.
