    Hi Stu,

The op-in field is commonly used with a checkbox that asks the submitter if they’d like to be included on your newsletter. That way, only those who opt-in to the newsletter will be added. If no opt-in condition is set, then every submission will end up on the selected lists in your feed.

Thanks B Hays. When you are setting up the newsletter feed and check the enable opt in condition another line appears to set that condition: Export to mailpoet if email is ………. I am not sure what to put in that empty field at the end to get it to work.

I think this is where your example form falls short. You should have a dropdown listing each field in your form, of which you should likely select the checkbox field, then set to is …. whichever value to add to the newsletter list.

Another way to look at that part of the feed is under what condition will you add this new entry to be added to your newsletter list?

If you want every entry to be added to your list, don’t check the opt-in box.

If you want to limit your newsletter list additions, you need to setup the right condition based on your form field and values.

The conditional function is nearly identical to those patterns already established in Gravity Forms: https://www.gravityforms.com/features/conditional-logic/
