If you turn off the ajax submission for your contact form 7 everything should work fine.

Alternatively you can use ninjaforms or gravity forms for landing page forms.

Turn off the ajax submit option on your contact form and let me know if that works.

thank you for the reply. I looked all over for the ajax option you referred to. I did not find it on the contact form 7 page settings.

Is this a line of code I add to “additional settings” or something?

    I did find this:
    https://contactform7.com/why-isnt-my-ajax-contact-form-working-correctly/

but I haven’t tried the ideas on that page yet.

Not sure. I’d contact the plugin developer to ask how to disable their ajax.

    Or use ninja forms

Just to be clear. You want to turn off the ajax completely from contact form 7 for this to function properly.

We use ajax to store leads and it can sometimes conflict if the existing form is already using Jquery.

Contact form 7 has a normal form option, just not sure how to turn it on or off.

    Well i installed ninja forms

it fixed the above issue, but ninja forms won’t send the submission to me. I messed with all the settings under admin email, but no soap.

It sends the user mail without any problems, so I don’t understand why it won’t send the admin email.

Ok, the problem is that I am using the contact form in a slightly unusual way. With Contact Form 7, i was sending the email from my site (but submitted by the user) with thier email address to an autoresponder I setup. The autoresponder would then send an email to that user (to thier email address).

I don’t see how to do this in Ninja forms. It only sends emails from a fixed email address. I need the email being sent from the site to be sent “from” the user’s email address for the autoresponder to work correcty.

I changed it back to CF7. I found that the problem seemed to be that I put the CF7 shortcode in the Landing Page Form or Conversion Button entry field on the dashboard.

Once I moved the shortcode to the regular text entry area, it worked correctly.

Also, I found that I cannot edit the landing page successfully, unless I activate the wordpress visual editor. And, once I activate it, I have to re-login to the wordpress dashboard.

If I attempt the edit the landing page using the regular dashboard view, it ALWAYS asks me “are you sure you wnat to do that” after I submit my changes. ANswering yes, just gives me the same question and the changes are not saved.
