Validation Error

    Hi,

    One of my Contact Form 7 forms keeps displaying a validation error on my website, but I can’t seem to find the root of the problem.

    The form has worked without any problems up to this point. The error started occurring at the start of February 2019.

    I am using several CF7 forms on the website, but there is only ONE form that seems to be having the problem. The form is integrated with MailChimp so people can subscribe to a newsletter. So far, I have tried the following with no solution yet:

    – Disabled and deleted the Honeypot plugin
    – Created a new contact form (with the same info)
    – Created a radio button that needs to be selected by the user
    – Refreshed the cache and tried different browsers

    Does anyone have any other ideas to get this working again?

    What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    I am having the same issue. Forms were working fine up until around the beginning of February, and now I’m getting a validation error on 2 out of 3 forms.

    I just noticed… the one form that works has recapatcha on it – the other 2 do not. After I added recapatcha on the forms that don’t work, they started working again. I just checked another website that only has 1 form and no recapatcha, and it seems to be working okay at this point. So it’s odd that the site that has 3 forms, with only 1 originally having recapatcha, is having the issue.

    Just to note: The site that was having the issue had the Contact Form 7 Image Captcha plugin loaded and active on 1 of 3 forms. On another site I have Contact Form 7 Honeypot loaded, but have not updated the Contact Form 7 plugin – this site is still submitting the form okay.

    I’m using the WordPress Twenty Seventeen theme on the site.

    By the way, after @theduck pointed out the Captcha issue, I added Captcha to the contact form that was having the problem and it seems to be working fine now. There are no more validation error messages and the form submits successfully. Thanks for the feedback!

    So it seems like all CF7 forms must have Captcha in order for them to function properly.
