Dozens of valid Amazon affiliate links on this page are marked as “broken” (Timeout).

There are several older threads in this forum reporting the same issue, and the response has been essentially: Amazon is blocking the plugin because it considers it a bot, and we’re working on a plugin update that will resolve the problem.

The most recent of these posts is over a year ago; others are a couple of years old. Are you still working on an update?

The main reason I installed this plugin is to check on the Amazon affiliate links, since Amazon has a habit of changing the URLs for their products.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @denis24,

We are currently rewritng the plugin from scratch, hence a delay in releasing a new update.

As you have stated, I’m afraid it’s a known behaviour with Amazon URLs. Unfortunately, there isn’t any workaround at the moment to recognize the Amazon URLs due to this behaviour.

You can only exclude crawling the URLs via the plugin to prevent the plugin from reporting false errors. The exclusion could be added under Settings > Link Checker > Which Links To Check, by adding Amazon domain to an exclusion list.

However, I do understand adding an exclusion won’t fit your needs.

At the moment, there isn’t an exact ETA we could provide regarding the status
of the next update. Hoping it would be soon.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

We haven’t heard from you for two weeks now, so it looks like you don’t have any more questions for us.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if
    needed.

    Kind regards
