This usually isn’t WordPress default behaviour. Either your theme is doing something funky or one of your plugins. I would suggest that you deactivate your plugins and switch to the default theme and then try to find the culprit.

Do you use WooCommerce? Another help thread suggests this is a WooCommerce issue. I have a trouble ticket into WooCommerce – for two days now – but as usual, no reply from WC.
