v4 broke the theme configuration
-
I am on wp 5.6.15, php 7.4, and the Back button failing on most of items in the theme customise menu. eg. Colors
All fields shows up seems lacking of css, looks like skeleton.
It only happens when upgraded to v4, previousv 3.x version and no problem.

Hello @rite8rite,
Thank you for reaching out,
Would you please provide us with some screenshots, a short video, or any documentation of the issue you faced, step by step?
That would be great if you could share the steps of the issue with us so that we can reproduce the issue on our end, somewhere other than your website. Then we’ll find a solution for it.
You can upload your files to one of the following online services:
https://postimages.org
https://loom.com
https://drive.google.com
https://dropbox.com
Or any other service you know. Also, kindly provide us with your system environment information. To do this, please go to WP Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info Tab and click on the button Copy site info to clipboard. You can send the information as code here or upload them to https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and get an exclusive link: https://i.postimg.cc/fbjtkFyJ/image.png(you can remove your email address from the content).
In the meantime, if possible, perform a basic troubleshooting checkup method and make sure the issue is related to our theme or plugin(s). To do this, deactivate all other plugins, then activate them one by one and check for this issue. Continue doing this until you find out what product is causing a conflict with our product. Then provide the details as explained above.
Note: If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes.
Please keep us posted.
Thank you
Best RegardsI tried disabling everything (plugins/cache) but still encounter the problem, also WAF log shows no blocking queries.
I also did an web inspection and all files js/css everything loaded without error. Interestingly Colors and Colours both appear in the new menu, I am not sure how many menu item supposes to be on the v4.
The 2nd pic show the stuck screen and skeleton fields, the Back button icon wont work. I can only click the X icon can leave the customisation screen, otherwise I am stuck.
This theme is amazing! Thank you for supporting it and happy to share if more info needed.

lite_install_date: Aug 8, 2023 @ 2:40pmI’m having the same issue with v4
Hello Everyone
@webshore
@rite8riteThank you for reaching out,
I fully examined the issue you have raised on this topic and could not see it on my end.
Please ensure OceanWP theme Ocean Extra and also other plugins are in the latest versions, if it didn’t help you then it seems it’s a plugin conflict.
For troubleshooting, please do the following steps and let us know the results:
0. Enable the primary theme(if you are using a child theme).
1. Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugins.
2. Deactivate all plugins.
3. Then, first, activate Ocean Extra plugin.
4. Check your issue.
5. Then, activate your plugins one by one
6. After activation of any plugins, check your issueNote 1: You can try troubleshooting on the staging website/or on a fresh installation and ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and plugins(before updating, please get a full backup from your website).
Note 2: If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, remember to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools(if you have Elementor). Also, please try to check your website on the guest browser.
I hope it helps.
Best RegardsThank you Shahin for looking into this.
This is not a big issue and I can live with it.
OceanWP keep rocking
