V3.9 Doesn't Allow Dropping Live Links Onto editor Page

For years I have enjoyed the feature of dragging a live link from a list in a Windows file manager directly onto the visual editor. This was handy when generating a long list of links like I do for my nightly veterans news list (see: https://oneoldvet.com/?p=61028 )

Now with v3.9 I get a “drop files here” message which then generates an error message telling me this practice is a security risk.

Is this a bug or did you guys actually code it to do this?

If this was done intentionally can you tell me how I might work around it?
