Form wasn’t working so I was trying to debug.
Found “update and convert forms” in advanced settings and figured this might be the problem.
Ran the updater but it has wiped all of the styling off my forms. My forms have gone from nicely styled and arranged layout to stock standard, unformatted…

How can this happen??? Why was there no warning when I went to upgrade that this would happen?

@whitsey Don’t create duplicate topics. It makes it hard for the 100% plugin volunteer, who does not get paid for supporting you and on their own free time out of the goodness of their own heart, from helping you.

I’ve archived your other two duplicate topics about this problem you are having.

Yes @whitsey, this is how Ninja Forms guys work…
They force you to update their plugin because it’s not working anymore with the 2.9 codebase, but they TOTALLY change the markup so it messed all the styles up…
    Feel sorry for you…

You can roll back to the 2.9.x code base by going to Forms > Settings > Advanced Settings > Rollback https://goo.gl/l1au9N However, you will lose any changes that you made in the 3 codebase

The deprecated 2.9.x codebase is over 4 years old and is no longer supported. This outdated code is being removed from the plugin which is why we are requesting users to upgrade to the 3 codebase.

The 2.9.x codebase was built with older versions of PHP and jquery and was showing its age. So when the 3 codebase was built, some changes to how the forms underlying structure had to be made.

We included both the 2.9.x and 3 codebases in the plugin for over 4 years to allow users to have time to make changes to the visual aspects of their site to account for the new codebase.

If you would still like to use the 2.9.x codebase, the code is open source. You are free to fork the deprecated codebase.

I dont care about 2.9 or 3.0 codebase – I just want to not have to rebuild my forms after an upgrade. Upgrades should be seamless … Not create an hour of work to fix “new stuff”
