• Unfortunately I have been having lots of issues with the ReCaptcha on 300+ sites where I use it in conjunction with Caldera Forms.

The latest problem is that the V3 recaptcha won’t let me send a form when using the mobile Chrome browser. It works fine on the desktop version, which makes no sense at all.

If I remove reCaptcha altogether the forms send fine too.

I really don’t want to have to implement a different solution on all 300+ sites for this!

As an update to this, I have noticed the problem only happens when a Google Map is also embedded on the page. It’s as if the initialisation of 2 Google products causes some conflicts.

I believe it requires more testing to confirm though.

    This needs looking at URGENTLY.

Removing Google Maps did not help.

I have had clients repeatedly saying their customers sometimes can’t submit forms.

I have had to remove the recaptcha and replace with a maths question for now on some angry clients’ sites!

    Hey @shaunbowen

We are looking at pinpointing this issue down, I don’t have an ETA on a new update yet.

I’m glad you figured out a temporary solution.

    Same Problem here.

    Problem Explanation:
    When Plugin enabled
    >> Forms with recaptcha cannot submit. Nothing happens.
    >> Forms without recaptcha get the error: Submission rejected, token invalid

I tried with v2 and v3 and get the same problem.

Only solution is to install the “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin and change the version in te settings to 1.12.4.

    We’ve got a pre-release that’s available for testing on Github -> https://github.com/andrewlimaza/caldera-forms-anti-spam

We’re just wanting to test this more before releasing it and ensure it solves the problems.

I’ve seen the same issue on multiple sites, where it’s working on desktop, but not on mobile, except when you send the form within 2 minutes.

While searching I found this pre-release, so I’ve tested it, but it didn’t solve the mobile issue yet, so for now I’ve disabled the plugin hoping for a quick solution and not too much spam in the meantime.

@josklever Would it be possible to add the reCAPTCHA to a new form and add it to a page that we could take a further look into?

    Hi @jarryd-long
I’ll have to create it on a test site tomorrow, because I can’t give access to existing sites at the moment. Do you need any specifics? Like access to the backend or just a test from the frontend? Which version of the plugin? Can I email you the necessary information?

Please do not share login details here as these are public forums and goes against the www.remarpro.com guidelines (and is a security risk).

We just need a link to a frontend page that has a Caldera Form with a reCAPTCHA field enabled on it to see if we can notice anything out of the ordinary.

We’ve also made some progress on a future release that should help stabilize things, we’re working on testing this more thoroughly and will revert back with a pre-release version link to test before releasing it publicly.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Hi @jarryd-long , @andrewza

I’m sorry for the late reply but it was very busy today. Of course I won’t share login details here. (I’m working in security myself.) I asked if it would be necessary and how I could share them with you (would be for a test site).

As you only need an example, I’ve duplicated my contact page to: https://joskleverwebsupport.nl/test-anti-spam/

Caldera Forms + Caldera Forms Anti Spam 0.4 are installed.

    How to reproduce:
    – This works on both desktop and mobile
    – You need to accept cookies as the notification indicates.
    – Fill in the form within 2 minutes and it works.
    – Fill in the form, but wait 2 minutes or more and you’ll get the error “The captcha wasn’t entered correctly. Reset.”, but Reset doesn’t do anything.

@jarryd-long @andrewza Do you have any update on this issue?

    (@andrewza)

Can you try the pre-release found here – https://github.com/andrewlimaza/caldera-forms-anti-spam

We’re still trying to work this out for all use-cases but it hasn’t been easy as there are no error messages in most cases.

Just tested that pre-release, but it doesn’t send the form and gives no error. So it’s even worse than the original version.

@andrewza Can you please give an update?

Still no update… ?? I’ve removed my test page, because it was attracting spammers.
