v3.4.4 upgrade … not responded for 10 seconds

    Updating from v3.4.3 to v3.4.4 trying to run a backup in WP Admin gives the following message “Job [Job-Name] has started, but not responded for 10 seconds”.

    Reproduced on 5 different websites so far, any ideas?

    …and yes, folders: uploads/, backwpup-e51577-temp/, backwpup-e51577-logs/ are writable

    The issue was resolved for me by adding
    define( 'ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true );
    to wp-config.php
