v3.1.0 on Google App Engine — Upload Permissions Inconsistency

  • We are working through integrating WP Stateless with Google App Engine in the “Stateless” mode with App Engine flag enabled. We are seeing some inconsistent behavior with uploads:
    1) Media > Add New = Works
    2) Media > Media Library > Add New = Does Not Work (Permissions Error)
    3) Post > Featured Image > Add New = Does Not Work (Permissions Error)

    Permissions Error
    Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/1/2020/11. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
