Yesterday’s update to SmoothSlider (2.6) did a number on my site (www.singout.org). First of all, it conflicted with the menu plug-in I’m using (AllWebMenus WordPress Menu Plugin) causing the menu, site-wide, to crunch all together and be unusable. Secondly, it moved the slider on the front page to the TOP of the main area instead of under the title I manually placed. I was able to revert back tp 2.5.1 and everything is back working … but I won’t/can’t update until whatever screwed things up is fixed.

We have just released an update to fix the issue with shortcode placement.

Let us know if the update fixes the issue with slider appearing on the top & other issues.

Your update *did* fix the placement problem, but it’s still conflicting big time with my Menuing plugin. I’ve rolled back again.

I saw some reference to a JS script “fix” in the latest release notes … AllWebMenus is a JS driven menu script, so the problem might be there? (I only know enough to hurt myself.)

I’m also posting the problem on the AllWebMenus plugin page … hopefully it can be fixed soon.

Conflict STILL remains with v.2.6.2 … is there any way I can find out what you changed with 2.6 that *created* the conflict with my menu plugin?

    Hello,

I would request you to send us url where Smooth Slider is embedded and not working. So that we can also take a look at the scenario and try to locate the conflict and the possible reason behind it.

My problem is this: I am using Smooth Slider on my home page (www.singout.org) … but if I update past 2.5.1 it farkles my menu system. I can’t do that for days while someone at SliderVilla might get around to looking at it. (Note that it took you 5 days or so for you to respond to my last message.)

If someone could work *directly* with me, I’d be happy to temporarily update, show them what’s happening … and then roll things back so my site will work.

Short of that, I’m already just looking for a replacement slider that will integrate without conflicting with other plugins. (Given the wide variety of *other* issues and conflicts it’s already taken three iterations for the 2.6.0 release to get correct, I’m pretty comfortable laying the blame with this plugin.)

Sincerely apologize for the delay in conflict fix. I would request you to please send a temporary admin access to our support email address [email protected]

We will fix the issue from our end without any delay.
