I upgraded the plugin to v2.1 yesterday and noticed that my site would not come up in any mobile browsers (both android and IOS). I was able to restore my plugin folder for Picasa Express X2 to a previous day with my GoDaddy account and that solved the problem. Out of curiosity, I tried the upgrade again and it caused the same issue so I’ve backed it out to 2.0.6 and it seems to work fine.

Version 2.1 introduces the PhotoSwipe library as well as mobile browser detection. In version 2.1, the mobile device detection was handled by an external library which defined a function called “is_mobile_device” in the global scope. I’m guessing this conflicted with something on your site.

I just released version 2.2 this evening, and included in that update I moved the mobile device detection logic into the class. Hopefully this solves your issue. Let me know after you get a chance to test.

In addition, if you’re using mobile, you should try out the new PhotoSwipe link option.

Thanks for the update. I updated to 2.2 and it seemed to work. However, I use the “Lightox (External)” option and thought I’d try the “PhotoSwipe” option as you indicated. When I switched, the site came up blank again. So maybe the issue is more specific to PhotoSwipe. I’ve left 2.2 but changed back to Lightbox since that doesn’t cause any issues.

I appreciate your plugin. It’s been working well and gives a nice touch to my site.

If you end up doing any investigation and discover the cause of the problem, let me know, perhaps there is something that can be modified for it to work better.
