V2.x.x Is terrible mistake breaks everything

Eversince I updated a site to version 2.x.x it’s caused me countless hours of diagnosing and resolving. So much messed up, if you haven’t upgraded DON’T! Or throughly test it first… (Yes I took backups, but what’s the point of a backup if I can’t resolve the confilct to be on the latest release!)

Worse is the update they’ve just put out, it caused js colour picker errors breaking the media library, it tripped up heavily installing the update causing huge database replace quieries eating large amounts of cpu time. (large in comparision to normal, but killing the site durring the 5+ minutes it took to install)

(Our server is a dedicate box with 32gb ram, 8cpu threads running 3.6ghz on ssd drives.)

Tried going back to version 2.0.21 however, it’s still problematic.

Now I am seeing asses that are taking 7+ seconds to load, like ionicons.woff & fontawesome-webfont.woff distroying my page load times. iconicons.ttf taking 240693ms to complete downloading!!

To top it off, these developers don’t give a rats about optimisation or page delivery.

I currently see over 23 seperate UM JS files being called on every single page. Seriously combine these files for love of christ!

I can’t begin to share my utter disapointment and massive disaproval of this plugin. I am going to be re-writing our site to remove all traces of UM and use an altenative!
