v2 status

Hi there,

First of all, thanks for the efforts on this great plugin.

I was wondering what is the status of v2. I see that on github issues are unanswered for quite a bit and also my latest pull request to it (from September) is neither merged nor dropped.

Moving forward it is important for me to know if there is still a plan to release v2 and keep developing the plugin or not.
