    Hey there…
After update to v2.3 (and what appears to be a successful migration of metadata to new ‘as3cf_items’ table) new media uploads are not being uploaded to S3, rather to WordPress defined media folder.

Prior to v2.3 update, new media would upload immediately to S3 with correct CloudFront url as expected.

    Any ideas?

    Running on WordPress v5.2.4

I’m also having the issue of the images never being offloaded to S3. Had what appeared to be a successful upgrade over the weekend. Like Kris above, I’m also using ShortPixel plugin. V2.3, WordPress 5.3

If the items not being offloaded are images that don’t normally get thumbnails generated then WP Offload Media Lite 2.3.1 has been released with a fix.

Just FYI, after updating to WP Offload Media Lite 2.3.1 I’m still having the same issue. No media are being offloaded to S3.

As some others have mentioned, I can confirm that the issue happens when ShortPixel plugin is active. If I deactivate ShortPixel and re-upload a new image, it DOES get offloaded without issue. If I reactivate ShortPixel, the issue returns.

Hi again – same situation as others have mentioned. If I disable shortpixel then this plugin works correctly. Isn’t shortpixel a preferred image compression plugin to use with WP Offload Media?

I’m going to mark this issue as resolved with v2.3.1, as initially the issue was about new media not offloading to S3, narrowed down to bug with plugin relying on WordPress generated sizes – found by @jrigexor – seen in previous replies.

@krislippi or @ande1352 … sorry to be a pain, but may I suggest creating a separate support topic for issue related to ShortPixel plugin.

Thanks @jrigexor for finding the bug!
Thanks @ianmjones for tracking the issue and the fix!

I am also facing the similar issue. My offload media is uploading png file to s3 when i add file from wordpress media library, but it is not uploading to s3 when i upload file from front-end. I am facing problem only in image files because my audio file are upload as normal as it should be from both front-end and back-end.

Same problem with WordPress 5.3 and WP Offload 2.3.1. No other plugins installed.
Text files are working. Images are not uploaded

same problem to me. Downgraded to 2.2.1 to fix it

Resolved by installing gd/imagick php extensions. My guess wordpress is unable to resize images or generate images of different sizes if these extensions are missing.
