v2.0.54 on WP 6.3.1 causes an error

    Hello. After updating the plugin to 2.0.54 on WP 6.3.1 I get a critical error of WP. After loging to FTP and changinging plugins folder name to “easy-table-of-contents_” my website is working again.

    I get this error from WP raport:

    B??d typu E_PARSE zosta? spowodowany w linii 1542 pliku /home/**/**/blog/wp-content/plugins/easy-table-of-contents/easy-table-of-contents.php. Komunikat b??du: syntax error, unexpected ” (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE), expecting ‘-‘ or identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or number (T_NUM_STRING)

  • Yeah, my site started crashing (possibly not coincidentally) after this update too. Disabled it and now the site is working fine.
    This is like the 3rd time an update from Easy ToC has crashed my site. I’m going to find a different ToC plugin.

    Mine auto updated and all of my menu links stopped working on my sites and started giving my homepages 500 errors. Disabled the plugin and all is working fine now, can someone please update this or let me know how to sort.
