The latest release v2.0.4 conflicts with the Minify JavaScript Files feature in SG Optimizer. The credit card form and the PayPal buttons do not load. I have tested this thoroughly on staging and if I disable Minify JS Files, the credit card form and buttons load correctly with v2.0.4

I am aware of this information https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#faq-paypal-smart-buttons-not-loading but the recent versions of SG Optimizer do not allow me to add “/woocommerce-paypal-payments/modules/ppcp-button/assets/js/button.js” to Exclude from JavaScript Minification. I can only choose to exclude from js minification using a drop down list, and I cannot the PayPal scrips do not appear in this list.

    Any ideas regarding fixing this?

    Okay, fixed.

Updated to V2.0.4 > Credit card form (Advanced Card Processing) disappeared from checkout page.

Woocommerce > Settings > Payments > Advanced Card Payments > Save (the enabled toggle was already active and I didn’t change any settings.

Credit card form loads correctly on checkout page.

    I assume re-saving cleared a cache?

    Hi @simplecv

PayPal Payments already includes a filter that is supposed to prevent the SiteGround Optimizer plugin from minifying JavaScript files. So it is not necessary to whitelist the scripts for minification when using this specific plugin.

Many users have confirmed this works as expected, but we don’t have access to a Siteground-hosted site where we could repeatedly test the compatibility with new plugin updates.

So this plugin could potentially still cache PayPal scripts or settings.
When in doubt, please clear your cache and save the plugin settings to see if any issues persist.

Some users previously encountered issues when plugin scripts were cached and not cleared after updating the PayPal Payments plugin. The problem would be with the cache plugin in such a case though, as the cache should automatically be cleared, e.g., after a plugin update happened. Clearing the cache manually should resolve the problem in such cases.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
