My site ancestralgleanings.com is hosted with A2 Hosting on a budget plan that comes with an A2 standard version of PHP (no option to change it). The latest update to 2.0.0 ran into a problem in Upgrades.php line 225 that I was able to fix by removing the final comma on line 224. Apparently, that comma made my A2 version of PHP think that another parameter was due to be included before the final right paren. This caused my website to go down for awhile following the update until I worked out what the problem was.

My question here is, could the official version of Upgrades.php be modified to remove the final comma on line 224? Would that be alright with all other versions of PHP as well as the one my site is using? If not, I guess I will have to bring this up with A2 Hosting.

The lingering problem I see is that every time there’s an update of this plugin, I will have to make sure that the problem doesn’t come back again for my site. I appreciate the value of this plugin and am not about to stop using it, so one way or another I am bound to keep current with the updates to it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
