Several days ago now I started to get a blank WP plugins page, and the 2 or 3 fixes I found by searching didn’t work for me. I restored a backup and the problems compounded as I could not get Allin1 Event Calendar to activate without erroring. I assumed this plugin was the original problem but I remembered that I had recently upgraded to TinyMCE 1.3.3. So I did the 1.3.3 update again on the restored backup and immediately got the blank plugins screen. Also TinyMCE or rather Visual Editor disappeared from my widget list, as did the instances of the widget I’d created on the site. I’ve now restored the back up again and have reinstated most of the site, including TinyMCE Widget on v 1.3.0.

This all occurred on WP 3.8.1. I’ve now updated to 3.8.2 but I’ve not dared to update TinyMCE to 1.3.3. In the morning I’ll do another backup then try going to 1.3.3. again.

    Hi there,
there’s another user who reported a similar issue (see here).
We are still investigating on that, but we found that the blank plugins page (which should be a 500 Internal server errors), occurs even if the plugin is disabled. You may check if the plugin is active from the plugin’s Editor page, even if the main plugins page is not working.
Please let me know if you do one more attempt to upgrade to 1.3.3 on WP 3.8.2. Thanks.

The user who was having the same issue as yours, reported that the problem was depending on the All-in-One Event Calendar, which, as you said, was giving problems to you too.
I’d suggest to temporary disable the All-in-One Event Calendar plugin, delete the BSTW plugin and then reinstall it from scratch (widget data will not be lost).
For further info about the All-in-One Event Calendar issue, check this topic on their support forum.

Thanks for your responses. I’m still not able to activate the calendar without it erroring, but following your advice above I have now got 1.3.3 installed and the blank page issue has not recurred.

Ok, thanks for the update. I’ll mark this topic as resolved.
