v1.2.2 PHP errors — Upgrading to v2.0 resets whole theme

Hi there,

v1.2.2 works great and I have it looking just how I want.

However, it kicks out the following errors in error_log:

[30-Jul-2015 23:10:58 UTC] PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘id’ in /XXX/wp-content/themes/academica/header.php on line 4

[30-Jul-2015 23:21:47 UTC] PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘id’ in /XXX/wp-content/themes/academica/footer.php on line 4

[30-Jul-2015 23:30:12 UTC] PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘id’ in /XXX/wp-content/themes/academica/template-sidebar-left.php on line 7

This leads to a large error_log file after some time.

I upgraded to v2.0 and all my customizations are gone and I’m stuck with the default theme. Obviously I do not want to have to set up my entire theme again (colours, logos etc.) just for 3 silly little PHP errors.

Please advise on how I can fix the errors in header.php, footer.php and template-sidebar-left.php?
