• I have added support for PayPal “Add to Cart” buttons. This version still supports the single-item button. The QuickTag places PayPal button code(XHTML 1.0 compliant) into your posts. It works great with the WP parser.

Go to this link and copy/paste all code to replace the code in your quicktags.js. Make sure you backup your old quicktags.js so you don’t loose anything.

I have customized Quicktags so you might find some other stuff you like!!

PayPal is not simply a way to pay for items on Ebay. PayPal offers a full e-commerce payment solution for an online business to except credit card payments without needing any other special accounts. It has nothing to do with ebay. PayPal was around years before ebay bought them.

This quicktag allows users to sell products from a WP post. It inserts a “buy this” or “Add-to Cart” button into your post. The button has the item name, item number, and the amount. These variables are added when the quicktag asks for the info via a series of dialogs.

If you have never tried to use PayPal to sell stuff from a website you need to get up to speed first. Especially, before posting false information about this Quicktag…Others have used it without a problem.

What type of solution are you searching for anyway?

Easy on the tude dude… You didn’t provide a very good description of the plugin. I did not present “false” information about it. I’ll admit that I did not know that about PayPal and eBay, so slow your roll bud…

Well thats a much better description… Are these buttons encrypted for security like the PayPal donation buttons?

Sorry, I guess I was a little harsh…but stating what a description should be, is presenting false information…someone that finds your description on google could get the wrong impression (rather what you felt the description should be)…I am not going to argue about it because it isn’t worth the time…I am glad this last description cleared things up.

Yes, the button provides a PayPal link within the button and the posting code encryption is handled via PP. It is pretty much how a donation button works.

I still have to get this working in WP2. Part of me is thinking I should get it working from within the new wysiwyg editor. I have to see if additions can be added to it.

Kvillines, this is an excellent add-on! I was thinking of installing OSCommerce or ZenCart, but your add-on may replace them for the use I need!
I’ll bookmark this thread to see when you have a WP2 version.

    Thanks!!!

kvillines, Have you had a change to work on the 2.0 update?

Thanks so much for your hard work!!!

I am actually trying to figure out the best way to do this. If people are using the wysiwyg editor then they don’t get the PayPal quicktag. I want to add a button for the editor too.

I will first get the current quicktag working in WP2…that seems to be what people want.
