V11.8.1 Update Slows Site to a Crawl

    We have been running V11.8 of the YouTube Embed Pro plugin without problems for some time now. After installing the V11.8.1 update, our site slowed to a crawl, jetpack reported us offline, and out site became all but unusable. After rolling back just this one update, site site returned to normal operation. We tried installing just the 11.8.1 update again and got the same result – our site became so slow it was unusable. We have backed the update out again and things are back to normal. Can you please help? Our site is at –

    7 days ago, we replied your email from the anita-fred.net domain. Please check your spam folder. Here is the contents of that email:

    Hi Fred,

    The only difference between 11.8 and 11.8.1 is a couple of grammatical changes, and a bug fix concerning channel galleries.

    The only thing we can think of is to update again, and then clear whatever kinds of caches you installed, including Cloudflare, your browser cache, any other caching plugins, etc. etc.

    If this is still happening, try and leave the site and send us a page with the issue so that we can try and do some investigation.

    Thank you for getting back to me. I tried completely removing the plugin and then reinstalled the latest version. This time, the update did not seem to cause any problems. Not quite sure what happened on the previous two attempts but things are working now.
