    Hi @sun2424,

In Jetpack Stats, a “view” is counted each time a visitor loads or reloads a page. Therefore, if the same visitor returns and views the page again, it will count as an additional view. However, a “visitor” is counted only once for the first time we see a user or browser in a selected time frame. You can expect views to be higher than visitors because a single visitor can view multiple pages or the same page multiple times. For more details, you can visit?Jetpack Stats.

I understand that you’re currently using an older version of the Jetpack plugin (7.2.4 and the latest version is 13.8.1). As you may know, we generally only support the last two major releases to ensure we can provide the best possible assistance and compatibility with the latest features and improvements.

I’m curious, is there a particular reason you’ve chosen to stick with that version? I’d love to help if you have any concerns or need guidance with updating.

    Looking forward to your response!

    Hello @sun2424,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

Hello, thank you for your support.

Me and an programmer helping me are considering about updating the version.

we heard there can be some work on to update. we are considering.

Also we are making report of every day stats, so we wonder the page refreshing time range is correctly 30 minutes or longer or shorter. Could you tell me the exact time range numbers(like 20min or 50 min..) based on your policy?

    Many thanks,

    Hi there!

We haven’t changed how visits are recorded in the past few versions, so you can update to a more recent version of the plugin, your stats reports should not be impacted.

Also we are making report of every day stats, so we wonder the page refreshing time range is correctly 30 minutes or longer or shorter. Could you tell me the exact time range numbers(like 20min or 50 min..) based on your policy?

I’m not sure I fully understand what you mean by “page refreshing time range”? Could you clarify?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I mean the “selected time frame” Alin mentioned above.

I wonder how many minutes are the time range policy, so the browser counts a user’s various visit times as one visit during the policy time.

If it is 20 minutes, then so after 20 minutes from a user’s first visit, a user’s revisit counts as two.

I wonder the exact time limit range.

    Thank you in advance,

    Thanks for the extra details.

There is no time range. Instead, those numbers are reset at midnight each day. That seems a unique visitor can visit your site as many times as they want during the day, they will only be counted as one unique visitor. If they visit again the next day, after midnight, they will be counted as a new unique visitor on that day.
