UTF-8 miscellaneous symbols doesn’t work

    Hi,

    UTF-8 miscellaneous symbols doesn’t work in generated pdfs (invoices or packing slips).

    DB charset: utf8mb4 / utf8mb4_unicode_ci
    wp-config.php DB_CHARSET: utf8mb4

    When I try to show checkmark symbol (?) in pdf it doesn’t work and shows:
    “& checkmark;” shows ✓
    “& #10003;” shows some rectangle
    “& #x2713;” shows some rectangle
    (spaces after ampersand are on purpose to show dec and hex values, otherwise it actually work even in this forum and shows checkmark).

    Any idea what’s wrong?
