    Hi,

I just used this plug-in for creating a test site. It worked well globally, but I noticed that all files with UTF-8 characters were skipped. I get messages like:

[01-05-2017 15:55:57] Fail: Copying file has been failed and will be skipped: /home/mypath/1443018358_image-c??line-cv.jpg

Of course, the file name is “1443018358_image-céline-cv.jpg”. You get the name with the right character when connecting with FTP using the UTF-8 encoding. If you connect to the site with another encoding, the ‘é’ will not appear correctly. It seems that “WP staging” is not supporting such encoding format for file names (or I missed a configuration somewhere). An improvement for the next version :-).

Hi, may i ask you to check out latest developer version? It’s a complete rewrite and is hopefully fixing your issue.

Can you test it and send me your résumé to support [at] wp-staging.com?

You can download it from here: https://www.mashshare.net//wp-content/uploads/wp-staging/wp-staging.zip

    Thank you

    Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I tested with your developer version, which looked promising. However, at first try, the plug-in entered in a loop with the two message below:
    NFO 2017/05/06 06:37:57 Copying wp_cimy_uef_data as wpstg2_cimy_uef_data between 0 to 0 records
INFO 2017/05/06 06:37:58 wpstg2_cimy_uef_data already exists, dropping it first

To avoid being blocked and allowing the test, I deselected all tables and relaunched the process. The blue bar goes of “Copy database tables” goes quickly to the end… and then nothing happens. The working log remain empty, the bars don’t move, when the cycling arrow just continues to turn.

I think that the development version is not yet ready for this test.

    Best regards.

Whats the size of the table wp_cimy_uef_data? Is it zero? Think you have found a bug where the cloning process stuck when all tables are excluded. Will create another version today.
