    Hello,

Amazing plugin! I’ve been using it on other sites for a while now.

However, I tried it on a new site with pictures with UTF-8 file names only to get the error message, /../2016/02/????.jpg is not writable.

When I try a picture with a non-UTF-8 file name (e.g. picture.jpg), it works just fine.

    Thanks.

Can you please post a link to one of the problematic images? I’d like to download it so I can test to see if this is a plugin problem or a server configuration problem. We’ve not had issues with utf8 filenames for several years, but it IS possible.

I’m sorry, you are right. I just now realized my pictures were are owned by root instead of www-data, but when I change the owner to www-data, I can optimize them.
