Usual attributes for cultural events

  • Hello and thank you for the great event manager plugin. I would like to use it to create a website for an organizer of cultural events (concerts, readings, comedy, cabaret). I am missing attributes like ‘Admission’, ‘Artist’ and ‘Name of the program/show’.
    Am I missing something here? Do I have to map such basic properties of an event with custom attributes?

  • Short answer: yes, you have to use custom attributes for Artist and Admission. But wouldn’t “Name of the show” be the name of the event?

    You can use tags and categories to do some of it, but custom attributes would probably be better.

    Though, there seems to be a way to set up custom taxonomies, but I haven’t managed to get it to work.
