So I’v been trying to switch from an outdated and broken Zencart to Woocommerce for about a year, but keep getting caught up on the shipping method. Perhaps I haven’t set something important up, or perhaps there is some other issue – not sure. What I do know is that when I visit the Woocommerce documentation page, right under “Setup and Configuration”, there is an image of what the Admin >Settings>Shipping Zones section might look like with USPS installed. In the image I see:
Shipping Zones | Shipping options | Shipping classes | USPS

What I’m missing is that USPS!

Now I don’t know if “Maxmind” being configured is the reason or not (whenever I try to get my key from their site I never receive the email) but I feel this whole thing seemingly should be a lot easier than it has been… So what am I missing? Has anyone else run into this issue?

Hi there!

By default, WooCommerce only comes with the following shipping options: Local Pickup, Flat Rate Shipping, and Free Shipping

Is this the image you’re looking at?

Ahhh I think it was this wording that confused me most

USPS Shipping is a premium method that sources shipping rates from the USPS API and works with our free service WooCommerce Shipping, which creates discounted shipping labels right from your WooCommerce dashboard.

I suppose I don’t remember correctly, but I thought I had even “added” it to a cart at some point with a $0 balance to gain a download? This was over a year ago so I guess my memory is hazy. I will look more into that documentation you’ve linked and figure it out if the problem is that I haven’t registered the product correctly, or installed it correctly.

One last question, is it a paid-per-use add-on, or is it subscription based?
