First let me state the following to make this easier. This isn’t my first woo commerce site and all my other sites are working fine.

I have jetpack, woo commerce services set up the same as every other site, credit card selected, then I proceed to Shipping Zones, select United States, click add shipping method. the list has flat rate, local pick up and free shipping no woo services showing.

I have verified that currency is US, services state is green across the board, I have uninstalled everything woo commerce and reinstalled it without solving the issue if someone could offer a solution that would be terrific. This is hosted on Amazon Lightsail so I can’t just reinstall I have to completely delete the virtual box and start from nothing which would prevent my domain from fetching a ssl cert from letsencrypt for several weeks due to fetch limitations…

  • Happening to me also. Then I found on WooCommerce the correct USPS Shipping Method page… The plugin/extension first needs to be purchased for $79, installed, and then it appears in the drop down menu.

    Hi @bignhamfound,

When was WooCommerce Service uploaded and set up initially on your site? If it was very recent, then shipping rates will not be available as they have been discontinued: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/#section-8

As @billdogwood mentioned, you would need the USPS plugin.

If you had the live rates before WooCommerce version 3.5, please open a support ticket with us at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ so we can get your account information and check your settings.

    Thanks,

It’s very disappointing that this costs money now – it was a really big selling point for a lot of my smaller customers that they could get live USPS shipping rates with the WooCommerce platform – they always purchased other add-ons from WooCommerce but the shipping rates was a great way to get them into the WooCommerce architecture to start. Now I’ll have to build their stores on something else.

I’m sorry to hear that @cgscomputers!

@bignhamfound, we’ve not heard back in awhile so will close this thread soon. If you used to have the USPS rates from WooCommerce services on that specific site you were referring to, do let us know!

@yukikatayama I was able to convince one of my clients go ahead and get the premium version of this plugin and they seem pretty happy with it. In fact it was much more flexible and easy to set up than the old free one with WooCommerce services. So I’ll give it that. Paid > Free – just extra work to convince my customers of this.
