    Hello,

I’ve been using the Semplice (paid version) and Yoast SEO plugin (free version) for several years without any issues. However, recently, I’ve noticed that the SEO previews on social media platforms are not appearing.

Despite following all the procedures suggested by Semplice (https://help.semplice.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027010091-Using-Yoast-SEO-with-Semplice), I haven’t been able to resolve the issue.

When using the Sharing Debugger, I received the following message:

    Inferred Property:
The ‘og’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.

    Response Code: 200

Additionally, I’ve sought help from the website hosting staff to edit the robots.txt file by adding the line: User-agent: facebookexternalhit; allow: /bogus-directory-or-filename. However, the problem persists.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?
Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated, as I need to share that landing page through DM with a potential client, and having an image preview is important.

    Best regards,
    Leandro Silva

    Hi @leandrosilvaarq

With Yoast SEO 22.8, we can see the og:image tag is being output in the page source. In the URLs you shared, I noticed og:image is missing.

So, please test conflict on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

If you notice the SEO previews on social media platforms disappear when you activate the Semplice theme, kindly contact the theme author to solve this.

    Hello @611shabnam

Thank you for the very useful suggestions!

Below, I detail all the procedures I followed to “resolve” the issue:

    Site Health Status (https://ibb.co/QkQBHS9)
? Everything is fine, just a recommendation for SQL server optimization (MySQL version 8.0) which our hosting provider does not yet offer.

    Plugins and Semplice
? I deactivated almost all plugins, keeping Yoast SEO and the Semplice theme active.

    WordPress
? Although the images are inserted and managed within Semplice, I went to Pages within WordPress, edited each page (Social tab), deleted the existing images, and re-added them directly in WordPress.

    Plugins
? I reactivated all the plugins that I had deactivated.

    Sharing Debugger
? Everything is working again on all pages!

I suspect the issue was related to the update of one of the installed plugins (perhaps, W3 Total Cache which affects website optimization, but I’m not sure).

I leave these “steps” as a possible solution for other users facing the same problem. Hope it helps.

    Thanks again!

    Best regards,
    Leandro Silva
