Using Yoast Meta Descriptions Aren’t Updating

We understand you’ve updated your meta description but it’s not reflecting when you search your site in Google. Since you mentioned that the page source shows the correct meta description, that means that the Yoast plugin is outputting it correctly.

Ultimately search engines will, as you have seen, make the final decision on what they show in their search results. Due to this being handled on Google’s end, there is little you can do to force Google to display the preferred description. We’ve responded to your thread as well. You can set a meta description, and then there would definitely be several reasons as to why it doesn’t show as such in the search results, but it should all be covered in this article — https://yoast.com/help/my-meta-descriptions-arent-showing-up-in-the-search-result-pages/
