Using WPBruiser Right – Other Plugins, Reacting to Emails
-
I use WPBruiser on several websites mainly to protect my Login page from Brute Force Attacks. Sometimes I use WPBruiser by itself and sometimes I also use other Plugins along with WPBruiser. I realized recently I may have underestimated what WPBruiser can do.
For one of my websites I got an “Alert – Brute Force Attack Detected by WPBruiser!” email. Immediately I checked the plugins and saw WPBruiser alone was protecting the website again Brute Force. My first thought was to add Wordfence. On Wordfence’s Live Traffic View I began blocking offending bots.
1) When I get the emails “Alert – Brute Force Attack Detected by WPBruiser!” can I just sit back and relax knowing WPBruiser is blocking all bots?
2) When I get the emails “Alert – Brute Force Attack Detected by WPBruiser!” does it mean that WPBruiser has blocked the offending IP/bot?
3) If WPBruiser is blocking bots successfully on my website why would I see bot visits in Wordfence Live Traffic view?
4) Does WPBruiser work well with other security plugins like Wordfence Security – Firewall & Malware Scan and Sucuri Security – Auditing, Malware Scanner and Security Hardening?
