• Is WP Super Cache a good option for a multi-server setup? In this thread— WP Super Cache and APC—Donncha (Super Cache creator) says this:

If you’re going to use a multi server setup you should probably use Batcache.

But that thread is a year old. Anyone have success with WP Super Cache on multiple servers, and if so,

    • Do you sync the cache folder between servers?
    • If not, how do you deal with clearing the page cache (by default it will only clear the cache on the server the request is issued from, leaving cached files on the other server(s) intact)

If not, what do you recommend?

  • You should use Batcache or any other caching plugin that user memcached.

You could use an NFS server to share a filesystem with all your web servers but that’s not really ideal as it’s an extra overhead and a single point of failure.
