I tried using the post by email feature for the first time last night and everything was fairly straightforward up to the point where I checked my blog to see if it had worked. First glance I thought perhaps it had as the title of the post was there (the subject line of the email). However, that is ALL that was there, the body of the email did not post.

I’m using WP 2.1 and executed wp-mail.php from my browser. Since I’ve never used this feature in any previous version of WP, I have no idea how this behavior compares, but I have to assume this is not the behavior I should expect. Anybody have any suggestions I can try?

I did just find out that if I send a message in plain text, the whole message will post. If it is sent in rich text or has a photo attached, only the title posts.

So this still doesn’t seem exactly correct as I was thinking we were supposed to be able to add photos via this method.

Unless something radically changed that I’m not aware of (always a possibility!), Blog_by_Email has always been text only, no attachments.

I am sending the email through Outlook 2007 and gmail using plain text and none of the body text is being posted.

I am experiencing the same problem.

I’ve tried e-mailing out of outlook in plain text (my default setting), rich text and even HTML.

The only thing that shows up is the subject.
