Using WP as the Public Front of a Small Business CMS
-
Hello,
I was thinking about using WP as the public facing front end for a niche small business CMS, but I wonder if there are some limitation to consider in terms of data size and complexity.
We have about 1,500 clients and the total inventory among all clients is 1 million. Each inventory item has many pictures and dozens of data fields.
We plan to grow past 5,000 clients, in the next year or two.We have a current admin backend that we’d keep. Our service includes a website where inventory and other business information is displayed publicly. We’d use the WP engine for this part only.
Any issues come to your mind? Pros/Cons?
What are your thoughts?Thanks
Peter
