using wp as a photo gallery

  • I want to sell my photos online. Not stock photography – I’m already doing that – but prints. I’ve tried ZenPhoto and Coppermine. Here’s the problem. Coppermine is unattractive and the guys that run the Forum have an attitude. Zenphoto only has a very few themes available and I don’t have the technical knowledge to manipulate and code to make my page look the way I want. The people running the Forum are really nice, though. So, is there something in WP that I can use? All my other sites are run on WP. It would be nice if I could do the same with my photography.

  • Why not use an ecommerce plugin?

    I’m biased as I help to develop & support the eShop plugin but there are plenty of other ecommerce plugins for you to choose from. I’d suggest that you start by looking for a good theme to promote your photos and add a lightbox plugin if the theme doesn’t have an inbuilt lightbox.

    Then go through a few of the ecommerce plugins. Pick ones that are updated regularly & have good support and try a couple out. I’m sure you’ll find one that suits your needs.
