Using WordPress Users, but using JS Help Login Page

  • We have been using Support Candy for years, but the latest version has been a complete disaster, and we can’t get any sensible answer from the plugin author.

    I would like to try yours to see if this will resolve our issues:

    1. We want to allow “Subscriber” users only to have access to the ticket system as we only support clients that have an account with us. Ideally they should be WordPress Users, or happy to create users in the plugin with their access to ticketing system only. We offer live chat or contact form for those requiring pre-sales questions.
    2. The login should be a different to WP default login, and should recognise valid users “Subscribers” and only allow those with valid user ID and password to login and raise a ticket, which they can only see (no public tickets)
    3. No Guests or OTP (One Time Password), as only registered users can login. Ideally they should be WordPress Users, or happy to create users in the plugin with their access to ticketing system only.
    4. The new version has wiped out all the old data!!!, so if by some miracle we manage to recover the data, would we be able to import the tickets and their history?

    Appreciate your kind answers to these questions.

    Hi,

    Thanks to shows interest in Help Desk.

    1. You can set only login member of WordPress can create ticket. Admin can set in the configurations.
      • Admin > Help Desk > Configurations > Ticket Settings > Visitor Can Create Ticket: No
    2. Help Desk offer it own login page. In this login page, all WordPress users can login in to Help Desk. Admin can set login settings in
      • Admin > Help Desk > Configurations > Login
    3. Help Desk allows all WordPress users to login and create a ticket. Help Desk also allow registering new user in the WordPress. You can check register configurations.
    4. No, system does not support it.

    Thanks for your quick reply. Just a clarification. Can we have a separate login page for just the ticketing system? (i.e. not use the WordPress standard login?).

    Hi,

    Help Desk have own login page but not only for Help Desk.

    Any WordPress user can log in using Help Desk login page.
