• I am fairly new to web design and brand new to WordPress. I just set up the database and WordPress yesterday and imported content from an old blog hosted by 1and1.com. Here are my particulars

    Web site url: https://www.replacementchild.com
Web site Blog page url: https://www.replacementchild.com/blog.html
    Wordpress blog url: https://www.replacementchild.com/blog

The blog is currently displayed in an iFrame on the web site blog page. It works fine and looks fine but I know from my last blog experience that Google will show the url for the WordPress page and it will show up without the formatting of my web site and without any links or any way to navigate back to my web site. I need a way to make the WordPress url open in my web site blog page.

I tried adding a snippet to the footer.php file in WordPress to redirect the WordPress url to the web site blog page. It did redirect it but that just created a loop and the page became unreadable.

Someone suggested finding a WordPress theme that is close to my web design and modifying it to match my site’s look. I’m not sure I know how to do that and also don’t know if that will solve my navigation issues.

I’m wondering if I have caused a problem by having the WordPress url so close to the url of the web site blog page? Wold it be better if I make the WordPress url something like https://www.replacementchild.com/wp and use that in the iFrame url on the web site blog page?

Is there a better way to approach this?

It is very important that I keep the look and feel of the blog page the same as the rest of the web site but I’m not sure the best way to do that. Is there some sort of configuration within the C Panel that I’m missing?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
