  • Try the “Semiologic theme and CMS collection

“The Semiologic theme and CMS collection features a theme and a set of plugins that effectively turn WordPress into the easiest to use content management system (CMS) in the market.”

I think he’s more looking for sites that are “live”. semilogical is simply one option for a ready set of WP plugins and theme that would provide a non-blog use of WP.

yes im looking for your sites ?? i don’t need a theme

    (he’s a she) lol

Guess mousing over your name and seeing “Heathersblog” would’ve been a dead give away. My apologies.

its all good, i just like to give people a hard time

I think my site would come into the category of more of a CMS. It’s a bit of a mixture I suppose. I’m not much of a blogger and anyway don’t get comments – the comments part and post dates are played down even though technically comments can be made in some places. I don’t think my WordPress site comes over as a blog at all.

I am VERY impressed with WordPress, after just a few weeks of use.

    no one else?

I am strongly considering using a WordPress + Gallery2 site (using the excellent WPG2 Embedded plugin – https://wpg2.ozgreg.com/index.php/Main_Page) to create an Art Gallery page for a friend, where she can display her art and sell it too. I would be making several static pages, then use Gallery2 albums to display the art, then use a Paypal plugin (or hack one together myself) to buy the art.

Haven’t worked on it yet though – I started off using Mambo CMS and it was way overkill and too much hassle to configure. Now it’s between eZ Publish CMS – https://ez.no/products/ez_publish_cms – which is again a pain to set up, but looks to be perfect for displaying galleries, shopping carts, payment systems, etc out of the box, or WordPress, which is a snap to set up, but will require much more plug-ins and small hacks to get it working the way I want it.

    How about mine? ??

I’ve been using mine to “publish” my writings, stories, poems, humor items, things like that. Link is my user name ->

Although it’s no longer about just my writings, as I now include other topics now.
