Using wordpress for company website

  • We are considering using WordPress for a company website, but have little direct WordPress experience. The site is for a small architectural firm, so need home page, links to pages showing project thumbnails, with links to specific project photos and descriptions.
    Is wordpress the right tool, or should we be looking at drupal, or joomla?
    Any examples of wordpress used this way? thx.
